The main philosophy behind all of my work is that it has to be an enjoyable process of creation and fun for the viewer to see. My prints are often experiments in shape and color, and I try not to be too predictable.

Laurie Wright -- Columbus, Indiana

A screen printmaker, Laurie Wright is a graduate of Columbus College of Art and Design in Columbus, Ohio. Her awards include Best of Show, Indiana NOW!; and merit awards from Westmoreland Art Nationals, Pennsylvania's Westmoreland College; and Indiana Heritage Arts Society, Nashville, Indiana, among others. Her work has been accepted in dozens of juried exhibitions in Indiana, Pennsylvania, North Dakota, California and Pennsylvania. Wright also designs custom room-size rugs, and has created commissioned pieces for Regal Rugs and Hoechst Celanese Corp.
