Artwork has
played a role in
my life for as long
as I can
remember. I
began painting
oils in the early
1970s as a hobby.
A couple of years
later I tried
watercolor, and it
has since been
my primary
medium.

Jerry Smith -- Crawfordsville, Indiana

Educated in business, Jerry Smith spent his early adult years in the business world, turning to painting as his full- time occupation more than 20 years ago. Besides watercolors, he works in acrylics. His memberships include Indiana Artists Club, Hoosier Salon, Watercolor Society of Indiana, Indiana Heritage and Brown County Guild. He has displayed at numerous Midwestern art fairs, and he teaches regional watercolor workshops
